Meet the Designers:
The Dark Vs. The Light
Adria Clarke and Esther 'Essie' Boelema met in 2017 when Essie moved schools and began attending school in Langley with Adria. The two quickly became close friends. Over the years, they have been involved in several business courses and projects together, learning how to run a business, create products, and how well the two work together through those classes and school sports teams. Adria and Essie are two very different people, with opposite aesthetics, but somehow go together - just like the concept of Catastrophe Designs. The two have lived their whole lives in Langley, and are honored to have the opportunity to give back to their community through this business.

Hi, I'm Adria and I am the "dark" side of Catastrophe Designs. I represent the eclipse in our logo and my designs generally fit a darker aesthetic. The inspiration for my designs most often come from literature, film, and mythology. Outside of Catastrophe Designs, I am a writer with dreams of one day becoming a published author.

My name is Essie
Hi, I'm Essie and I am the "light" side of Catastrophe Designs. I am known for my bubbly and sunny personality, thus in our logo I represent the yellow moon. The inspiration for my designs often comes from music (Swifties unite!), television, and from my own cottagecore and light academia aesthetic and mindset. Outside of Catastrophe Designs, I manage my family's farm and play lots of sports - especially ice hockey.
